Emotionally and Physically Damaged / Osteo and Rheumatoid Arthritis

I have been suffering from low back pain for many years due to congenital defects, osteo and rheumatoid arthritis. I also suffer from neuropathy in my right leg and foot due to two spinal fluid leaks. I’ve been treated with all the latest medical procedures and even have a spinal cord stimulator implanted to deal with the pain. Nothing has helped. I was emotionally and physically damaged and came to see Fate out of sheer desperation. The first session, Fate listened while I told her my complete history. She told me that not only will she treat my low back pain but also my whole body and my struggling attempt to deal with emotions brought on by disability. I have never had a medical professional care so much about the "whole me" that I broke down in tears in her office. Several sessions later, the neuropathy in my leg has improved, and the cramping in my foot occurs less frequently. My sessions consist of acupuncture and whole body massage. I come off the table with renewed energy, less stress, and remarkably less back pain. My treatment will soon includes herbal treatments and I am looking forward to reaping the benefits of Fate's expertise. I had never really given acupuncture much credence in the past, but now I wish I had started with it much sooner. In my opinion, it’s worth it.

Acne

I started seeing Dr Daou because my dermatologist wanted to put me on Accutane. I had been on different birth controls, topicals, and antibiotics for my acne for 10 years. I never had severe acne, just here and there; then out of nowhere it started to get progressively worse all over my face and I was scarring. I realized when the Derm wanted to put me on accutane that I had been fueling my body with toxins for so long, and my face finally had enough, and it was showing. I felt different; my emotions and body felt different and I was ready to stop putting so many toxins in my system. The first time I called Dr. Daou's office, she got on the phone with me to discuss my problem. I've been seeing her for acupuncture and herbal treatments for 4-5 months and have started to see the difference in my face, body, and soul. I feel calmer, and my head feels clearer. Dr. Daou is incredible. She talks you through all the steps of the process and really makes sure you're heard. She wants you to do what's best for you and your body, but most importantly that you make that choice. I tell everyone about her! Our goal is that I can be make up free once again and I know that if anyone can get me to that point it's her! We are so close!!

Quit Smoking

I was a long time cigarette smoker. I wanted to quit but needed a little extra help. I had successfully stopped years before with acupuncture so I thought I’d try again. The first thing I noticed about Fate was her enthusiasm. I also noticed she asked me a lot of questions. She is very thorough in her examination. Fate took time out to answer my pesky questions too . All were answered to my satisfaction. I had found Oriental Medicine doctors to be enigmatic in their explanations. Fate’s answers make sense to me. I didn’t stop smoking all at once. . . I cut back. Fate did not pressure me to go ‘cold turkey’ and I thank her for that. Her caring is very sincere. When I did stop I continued seeing Fate and we started to add more goals to my treatment plan. My legs were bothering me and I was having sleeping problems. Fate treated these new problems while we kept my ‘not smoking’ our paramount objective. Everything worked out. I am still smoke-free today . I freely acknowledge Fate Daou as contributing the most to helping me get here. I feel that I wasn’t being treated by Fate so much as I was being nurtured by Fate. I’m sure she will continue winning hearts and ‘Fate healing’ wherever she practices.

Shoulder, Neck, Back Pain

My name is Dee, I went to 4-5 doctors and non were able to help me. I have a shoulder neck pain, with a big knot on my back for the past 5 years. The pain was stabbing, always taking advil and can't sleep. I did physical therapy, pain would go away for 2 hours then comes back again. I told my doctor I wanted a surgery because the pain was unbearable. Then I met Fate and I've never tried acupuncture before. The first time I came to her she did acupuncture, massage and cupping. I came to her with severe pain, she spent time with me until I got better. She's very caring. Acne Vulgaris

Acne Vulgaris

Numbness, Pins and Needles

I had the great privilege of being treated by Fate Daou last week during one of her teaching sessions at ATOM in Ft Laud. This was my 3rd time there and 1st with Fate. I was trying to get relief from a very long term problem on my lip and cheek that resulted from nerve damage after major dental surgery. For almost 2 years, I have had the feeling of pins & needles on the right side of my lower lip and puffy/numbness in my cheek under the lip. This is 24/7 and never goes away. Many visits to the surgeons, Neurologist and high doses of medication did nothing at all to relieve my symptoms . The first 2 sessions of acupuncture were okay and very thorough, but had yet to provide noticeable relief. That was until Fate treated me. After receiving just 1 acupuncture treatment from Fate Daou, and for the first time in almost 2 years, the pins and needles feeling in my lips noticeably decreased and remained much more comfortable for several days . Needless to say I am thrilled and so was Fate when I called to tell her. I can’t wait for my next treatment this week.
